I have spent more than 25 years in the boating industry, and most of what I know came from being on the water - building boats, racing them, testing new systems and listening to customers.
I co-founded Vision Marine because I believed electric boating could be more than quiet and clean. It could be powerful, practical and exciting.
That belief pushed us from early electric boats to the E-Motion™ high-voltage propulsion platform. The 109 MPH and 116 MPH speed records proved the performance. But records alone do not build a market.
The real work is making the technology easier for boat builders to integrate, easier for service teams to support and easier for customers to understand and use.
Today, as CEO of Vision Marine Technologies (NASDAQ/TSXV: VMAR), I focus on product development, OEM integration, operations, strategic partnerships, retail, service and the customer experience.
I believe the future of boating will be shaped by teams that can combine strong technology with real market access, service and support.
